Frontend software developers work independently as freelancers or with company teams to create websites. They use technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design and produce websites. Web developers may also become webmasters for a site, providing maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting when needed.
Some web developers learn their trade entirely from tutorials and other online resources, but many hold at least a certificate, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field such as computer science.
